New Horizons Computer Learning Centres Standard Terms and Conditions

Booking & Payment:

1.No bookings can be confirmed until the training contract has been duly signed and received by New Horizons.

2.All Invoices are payable within 14 days after the signature date on the Order, or 14 days prior to the start of the course, whichever occurs first, or by the payment date stated on the order.

3.When booking and confirming a Closed Class, Room Rental, or Client Site the names of all attendees must be received by New Horizons 24 Hours before the start of the class. Failure to do so will result in the course being cancelled and no refund being issued.

4.Attendance on a course will be refused if full payment has not been received prior to the start of the course.

5.Goods for purchase will be dispatched/ made available only after payment in full has been received.

6.In breach of these conditions, interest will be charged from the due date of the invoice to the date of payment, at the rate of 2.5% per annum. And will be compounded monthly.

Cancellation:

7.All notifications from the customer must be received in writing.

8.The designated periods for cancellation is dependent on the type of course or service as follows:

    a) Scheduled Course: Up to 14 days prior to the start of the course.
    b) Room Rentals/Closed Classes/Client Site Courses: Within 30 days after the signature date on the Order, or up to 30 days prior to the start of the course or service, whichever occurs first. Where a group of such courses have been booked, 30 days prior to the start of the course or service shall mean the start of the first course of the group of courses, and not the individual start dates of courses within the group.
    c ) Club Members or Voucher Holders: 7 days prior to the start of the course.
    d) Mentored LearningT Courses: up to 24 business hours prior to the start of the course

9.In the event of a cancellation by the customer, the following refunds will apply, except for Club Members and Voucher Holders: and only if full payment has been received.

    a) Where a customer cancels a class giving the minimum requested notice prior to the start of a scheduled class: 50% refund (The class can be rescheduled at this stage at no extra cost).
    b) Where a customer cancels a class giving less than the minimum requested notice prior to the start of a scheduled class: 0% refund.

10.In the event of a cancellation, by the customer, within the designated period, where payment has not been received, the amount outstanding as per the above terms and conditions will be due by the customer.

11.In the event of a cancellation of a course by a Club Member outside the designated period, a £35.00 cancellation fee will be charged. The £35.00 fee must be paid before taking any other class.

12.In the event of a cancellation by a Voucher Holder outside the designated period, the Training Voucher(s) will be voided. The voided vouchers must be returned to New Horizons before taking any other class.

13.In the event of a cancellation of a Mentored LearningT session, outside the designated period a £45.00 cancellation fee will be charged. The £45.00 fee must be paid before attending any further sessions.

Transfer:

14.Notification of any transfer must be made in writing and received by New Horizons within the designated period.

15.In the event of a customer transferring a booking within the designated period, the following charges will apply:

    a) The first transfer will be made free of charge.
    b) The second transfer will be charged at £50.00, which must be paid prior to attendance.
    c) Subsequent transfers will be treated as cancellation and the full course fee will remain payable.
    d) Transfers made outside the designated period will be treated as cancellations.

Club Membership

16.Club Memberships are valid until the expiry date listed on the card. The period of validity will start on the day of the first class or two months from date of invoice, whichever occurs first. New Club Membership Cards will be issued at renewal.

17.Club Membership Cards must be presented at Reception when registering for any Club Membership courses. If the Club Membership Card cannot be produced, other proof of identity will be required in order to attend the course.

18.Club Members may take any classes within their Club in the correct order. Classes outside the scope of a Club scheme may not be taken without paying separately, or joining the relevant Club Membership scheme.

19.Club Members may repeat classes of the same version as often as required within the time span of the Club Membership, provided there is availability. No course manual or enrolment keys will be issued for any repeated course.

20.Any course cancellations must be received in writing.

21.Club Membership's cannot be cancelled after the date of acceptance on the contract, and are non-transferable.

Technical Packages i.e. MCSE

22.Technical Packages i.e. MCSE 's are valid for 24 months. The period of validity will start on the day of the first class or one month from the date of invoice, whichever occurs first.

23.Technical Packages i.e. MCSE cannot be cancelled after the date of acceptance on the contract, and are non-transferable

Flexi Account - Training

24.Flexi Account. - Training will be delivered In one nominated centre in either New Horizons Computer Learning Centre London or New Horizons Computer Learning Centre Birmingham unless otherwise stated in contract.

25.Please refer to the contract for details of discounts relating to deliver of training from the Flexi Account

26.Flexi Account is not valid for partner events such as Prince, Ethical Hacking, ITIL Discounts apply to , Scheduled Class , Technical Mentored Learning, Club Memberships, Client Site - per delegate * Closed Class per delegate * Minimum 8 Delegates *.
Balance of account must be used within 12-months from date of invoice.
Balance may be carried over for further 12-months where balance in account is matched by fresh deposit before the end of original 12-month period. All prices subject to VAT.

Unlimited Technical Passports

27.Training is to be delivered in New Horizons London or Birmingham (In one nominated centre) unless otherwise stated in contract.

28.Training is Valid for any New Horizons technical course that is scheduled and running based on scheduled courses or Mentored learningT

29.Technical passport is not valid for partner events such as PRINCE 2, Ethical Hacking, ITIL or RFID+.

30.Technical passports are valid for 12 months from date of purchase - The period of validity will start on the day of the first class or two months from date of invoice, whichever occurs first.

31.A maximum of 5 technical manuals will be provided for courses attended under the technical passports, further courses can be attended during the validity and manuals will be charged at the appropriate cost.

Voucher Schemes

32.Each Voucher is valid for one complete half-day course, a one-day course, or two evening training sessions.

    (a) Training vouchers are valid only for New Horizons classes and are not valid for Partner events such as Certified Ethical Hacking, RFID+, ITIL or PRINCE 2 an unless stated otherwise on the training contract are not valid for Business Skills classes.

33.Courses are offered on a first come first served basis, and seating is limited, therefore customers are urged to register for courses as soon as possible.

34.If the class is full your delegates may be placed on the waiting list, you will be notified only if a cancellation occurs and a space becomes available.

35.Voucher Holders must present the designated Voucher for validation at the start of the course. In the event that a Voucher Holder is unable to present the designated Voucher, entry to the course may be refused. If entry is possible, they will be required to sign a "Class Coupon Responsibility Statement" and be bound by its requirements to return the designated Voucher to New Horizons within 5 days, or be liable for the full course fee at the standard daily rate for the course.

36.Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of invoice unless otherwise stated on the contract or the voucher.

37.Vouchers that are not handed in on the day of the class will be voided by New Horizons and can not be redeemed against future classes.

38.Voucher contracts cannot be cancelled after the date of acceptance on the contract, and are non-transferable.

Government Assisted Courses

39.Payment must be made at least 14 days before the start of the course and must be accompanied with the relevant documentation.

Work Placement

40.When available, New Horizons, through its partners, will make every effort, but do not guarantee, to place any delegate that has completed their training, in a work placement. New Horizons, and its partners, will make every effort, but do not guarantee, employment after a delegate has completed their training.

Online ANYTIME (This does not apply to the "Fresh Start Package")

41.If the Individual user has not initialised the program within 30 days of purchase, they will receive a full refund.

42.If the Individual user requests a refund within 72 hours after initialising the program, they will receive a full refund.

43.If a refund is requested after 72 hours of initialisation, but within 30 days of purchase, the customer can receive a credit to apply for New Horizons Classroom Learning up to the value of purchase.

44.If the refund is requested more than 30 days after purchase, no refund will be given.

45.For Corporate Customers: The refund and cancellation policy is covered in the user license agreement, stating that there are no refunds or cancellations after purchase.

Fresh Start Package/ Networking Bundle

46.The Fresh Start Package/Networking Bundle is valid for 12 months or 24 Months from the date on the contract. (Depending on bundle purchased)

47.The period of validity will start from the day the online training is initialised, or one month from the date of invoice, whichever occurs first.

48.Fresh Start Package/Networking Bundle cannot be cancelled after the date of acceptance on the contract, and are non-transferable.

ICT Web TV

49.Licences for ICT Web TV are valid for 12 months from the date of issue of the access password, unless otherwise stated on purchase contract. Access to the Leaning Zone is for six months per course. Where ICT WebTV bundles such as MCSE are purchased, content can be access for twelve months from the date of the password being issued. Where the Learning Zone is purchased with a bundle, student will have access to the Learning Zone for 6 months per component course. After the acceptance date on the signed contract, this product cannot be cancelled or have costs refunded. Licences are valid for one named student only and access to the content via the licence by any person other than the named student is prohibited

Toolwire Labs

50.Where Microsoft Technical classes are purchased at full price, complimentary 3-month access to Toolwire Lab technology is provided where a lab exists for the specific course. This service is provided as at no additional and no cash refund can be provided where this service is not available.

General

51.All delegates must arrive at New Horizons 30 minutes prior to the class start time to allow for registration. If delegates are more than 15 minutes late for the start of the class, their place may be reallocated. Any anticipated lateness should be notified via the New Horizons Enrolment Hotline. Delegates more than 30 minutes late will not be admitted to the class.

52.All delegates must report to reception to be registered, on each day of training (this also includes multiple days of training).

53.New Horizons reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any courses.

54.All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.

55.Any delegate, who has attended a course, can repeat the same course within six months from the date of the course, at no additional charge, provided that they have already attended, and paid for, the class they wish to repeat and that the course is available. No course manual or enrolment keys will be issued for any repeated course. If the delegate does not attend the course or reschedules/cancels his/her place on the course with insufficient notice as detailed in our cancellation terms, the free repeat privilege does not apply.

56.Deposits paid for training are non- refundable

Solicitation

57.During the terms of this Agreement and for one (1) year thereafter, the company or any persons within the organisation agrees not to directly or indirectly, entice or solicit any employee, consultant or trainer for any purpose whatsoever, whether for the trainer or clients mutual benefit or the benefit of a third party. The parties agree and acknowledge that the purpose of this restriction is to protect and safeguard either company's integrity and / or confidential information.

Agreement

58.The order signatory is booking on his or her own individual account, or is an authorised signatory of the company, or organisation, booking the course or service. In either case the signature given will form a legally binding agreement with New Horizons Computer Learning Centres
